Acting Class for Adults: Shakespeare Edition
Open to both beginners and seasoned actors, this course provides the actor with preparation for acting in Shakespearean plays under the tutelage of the excellent Travis Gray. The primary exploration of the class will be the authentic, honest expression of character thought, feeling, and action that allows the actor to release their truthful and authentic expression of heightened text.
In this course, you will:
1. Develop and continue to hone your practical understanding and implementation of “action-oriented” acting.
2. Develop an authentic and truthful connection to your expressive potential within the demands of heightened text.
3. Rehearse, explore and develop one Shakespeare scene and a Shakespeare monologue for performance.
The entire session will culminate with an actors’ showcase at Pullman Civic Theatre on April 26th.
