Reed Newell (James)
Reed is going into 5th grade at Jefferson Elementary, and this is his fourth show with PCT, having played Gate Keeper in The Phantom Tollbooth, Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol, and a Wickersham Brother in Seussical the Musical. He has also participated in two Missoula Children’s Theater productions. In addition to acting, Reed enjoys tennis, playing at the park with friends, and playing video games with his twin brother and fellow actor, Taylor.
Andy Cornwall (Old Green Grasshopper)
James and the Giant Peach marks Andy’s 11th show with Pullman Civic Theater.
Elizabeth (EV) Bourland (Miss Spider)
EV has been with PCT since she was very little, from the production of Beauty and the Beast to You’re a Good Man Charley Brown. She has loved acting for quite some time and hopes that the audience enjoys James and the Giant Peach.

Alex Irwin (Centipede)
Alex is so excited to be returning to the stage after over ten years away, and in one of his favorite books as a kid. This is his first production with PCT. Alex currently works at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. When he’s not working, you can usually find him reading a book, playing video games, or crocheting. He has lived in the Pullman area since 1999, and currently resides in Palouse with his husband of 8 years and their 4 fur babies.
Kalista McCafferty (Earthworm)
Kalista has done many shows with PCT. This will be her 5th production with them. Her past shows include The Best Christmas Pagent Ever, How to Eat Like a Child, The Phantom Tollbooth, and Sussical the Musical. Acting is one of her many passions including baking, singing, reading, science, and math. Kalista is a cheerleader at Pullman High School and can’t wait to start her sophomore year there this fall.
Gary Thoren (Old Man and Captain)
Gary Thoren has been involved in Pullman Civic Theatre for over 10 years. The first play he did was Beauty and the Beast, where he played Maurice. He has since been involved in acting, producing and directing many plays. His favorite character he played was Gary in I Hate Hamlet. His favorite play he directed will always be Steel Magnolias. He is excited about being involved in James and the Giant Peach and is looking forward to directing in the Spring.
Laurel Forsberg (Aunt Spiker)
Laurel Forsberg is pleased to be joining the Pullman Civic Theatre for this production of James and the Giant Peach. She has a love of the performing arts and is excited to get back into the acting scene after an 18 year hiatus. Her kids will tell you she’s not really as mean and nasty as she pretends to be on stage.
Danita Evans (Aunt Sponge)
Although Danita’s kids have been in a couple of productions, this is her first time being on stage. she plays the horrible Auntie Sponge, which has been a fun experience. She hopes you all enjoy our rendition of James and the Giant Peach!
Robert Seward (Mr. Trotter)
This is Robert‘s first performance in community theater. Before this, he did work on the set construction of the last play. He holds a ham radio license, speaks German and French and he loves to write. He hopes to continue with PCT plays and that one of his books will sell!
Renee Lystad (Mrs. Trotter)
previously known as Heather but is now choosing to go by her middle name, has been involved with theatre off and on since 8th grade. Renée got involved with PCT this past October with her first role being in Dracula. It remains, so far, her favorite production with PCT. Renée was also in Nuncrackers with her daughter Amara. James and the Giant Peach will be her 3rd play with PCT. She has also volunteered on other plays with PCT, running lights for Barefoot in the Park, and costume help for Brilliant Traces. She continues to volunteer with PCT as much as she can and has enjoyed the time she spends with her new theatre family.
Chloe Forsberg (TV Reporter)
Chloe Forsberg’s first role was as a lost penguin in the Missoula Children’s Theater’s production of Aladdin. She may be on a new career path after discovering her skill as a tiny news reporter in James and the Giant Peach.
Trista Evans (Tour Guide, Ensemble)
This marks the third production for Trista, the other two being the Phantom Tollbooth and Suessical the Musical. She has been enjoying the people and productions at PCT and meeting new people. She hopes the audience enjoys James and the Giant Peach.
Taylor Newell (1st Officer)
Taylor is going into 5th grade at Jefferson Elementary, and this is his fourth production with PCT, having played most notably the compelling Insincerity in The Phantom Tollbooth and Boy Scrooge in A Christmas Carol as well as a Wickersham Brother in Seussical the Musical. Taylor has also enjoyed a couple productions with Missoula Children’s Theater. When not acting on stage, Taylor enjoys art and photography, cooking, and hanging out with with his twin brother, Reed.
Naomi Carter (2nd Officer)
Naomi is 11 years old. She has been in 11 different plays. Her favorite color is blue. She hopes the audience enjoys the show!
Amara Lystad (Ensemble)
Amara is happy to be back with PCT. This is her second play with them, having previously been in Nuncrackers this past December. This is Amara‘s second acting experience and so far she has found she is really starting to love it. Amara is looking forward to being a 3rd grader this Fall at Sunnyside Elementary, and hopes to continue to be part of future productions with PCT.
Alexis Forsberg (Ensemble)
Alexis Forsberg loves reading, drawing, and being weird. Her acting credits including playing a teenager at home and various roles for the Drama Club at Lincoln Middle School. One day she’ll be an astronomer and discover a giant black hole that will swallow the earth.
Kristianna Forsberg (Ensemble)
Kristianna Forsberg played the Roman Aquaduck in the Missoula Children’s Theater’s production of Aladdin. She loves being both dramatic and shy all at once. She is learning to play the cello in Orchestra at school.
This is Danica’s first production with PCT. She has appeared in Missoulas Children’s’ theater’s Aladdin. She is going into 5th grad. She plays viola in her school orchestra.
Roseletta Atterbury-Marzolf (Ensemble)
Roseletta is going into 4th grade. She lives in Moscow. She has been in a lot of plays but this is her first with PCT. She will be doing drama camp this summer. She hopes the audience enjoys the show.
Riley Williams (Ensemble)
Riley has just finished Kindergarten at Franklin Elementary School. While he has spent most of his 6 years running around theaters with his mom, James and the Giant Peach will be his first time on stage.
This is the first time Ellie has done a show with PCT. Her uncle graduated with a theater degree from WSU in the 80’s and was active with the Nuthouse and her mom has taken her to the a theater as early in her life to see if she too had been bit by the acting bug. Ellie and Liam are 6 year old twins and are the 7th generation of the Neill family to live in Pullman.
This is the first time Liam has done a show with PCT. His uncle graduated with a theater degree from WSU in the 80’s and was active with the Nuthouse and her mom has taken him to the a theater as early in his life to see if he too had been bit by the acting bug. Ellie and Liam are 6 year old twins and are the 7th generation of the Neill family to live in Pullman.
Sam Evans (Ensemble)
Sam has worked with PCT in the past, playing the role of Sam-I-Am in Seussical the Musical. Sam is in the ensemble as a seagull, knows most of the people involved in this play, and would like to be on stage again.
