PCT Acting Classes

Pullman Civic Theater and Pullman Parks and Recreation has teamed up to offer Adult Acting Classes and a Theatre Camps for Kids!

Acting Class for Adults

Open to both beginners and seasoned actors, this class will use monologues and scene-work to explore the basic fundamentals of the Stanislavski system. The entire session will culminate to an actors showcase at Pullman Civic Theatre.

Instructor:

The PCT Acting Class for Adults is taught by PCT Board Member and Shows on the Side co-producer, Travis Gray

Travis earned a Master of Fine Arts in Directing and Performance from the University of Idaho where he was a graduate teaching assistant for both undergraduate and graduate Acting Studio classes.   Travis has worked for Idaho Repertory Theatre as both an actor and a director, and has appeared in numerous films and television commercials.  Travis has received 3 Irene Ryan nominations as an actor, and has also 3 times received Merits of Achievement for Direction of a Play from the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

Dates:

The Acting Class for Adults will be held every Friday starting January 12 to March 9 from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Location:

The Acting Class for Adults will be held at Nye Street Theatre.

Registration:

The Registration fee for the PCT Acting Class for Adults is $40 for PCT Members and $60 for non-members. PCT Memberships can be purchased HERE.

Participants must register to participate. Registration can be done online at the Pullman Parks and Recreation website or by calling the Parks and Recreation office at 509-338-3227 starting December 20, 2017.


PCT’s Kids Theatre Camp

Join PCT (Pullman Civic theater) during Pullman School District Spring Break and Conference Weeks for Theater Camp to help build kids’ basic acting skills.   Kids will learn through theater games, movement games, and improv; and get practice in auditioning, memorizing, and performing, under the  direction of Penny Gonzales, PCT veteran and retired teacher.  The kids will end of the week with a performance on Friday from 4 to 4:30, with kids using skills practiced through the week.

The PCT Kids Theatre Camp is taught by Penny Gonzales.

Dates:

The PCT Kids Theatre Camp will be held Monday – Friday of Pullman School District’s Spring Break (April 3 – 7) from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and Pullman School District’s conference week (March 5-9) from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Location:

The PCT Kids Theatre Spring Break Camp will be held at Nye Street Theatre.

Registration:

The Registration fee for the PCT Kids Theatre Camp is $75 for conference week camp and $150 for spring break week camp.
